For tunnel portal protection, heavy-duty hexagonal mesh (5.0mm wire, 100x120mm apertures) combines galvanizing with PVC coating (0.8mm thickness). Panels (3m x6m) are reinforced with horizontal cables (10mm diameter) and joined via spiral binders (3.5mm), forming continuous barriers along unstable cuttings.
