Welded Gabion Mesh Body — 200 x 50 mm Mesh, Spiral Wire Connected

This product is the welded gabion mesh body only: flat welded panels, base panel and diaphragms, folded and joined on site with continuous spiral wire. Mesh aperture 200 x 50 mm, mesh wire 4.0 mm, edge wire 5.0 mm, hot dip galvanized 275 g/m2. No posts, brackets or accessories are included — the panels are supplied as the stone-filled structure itself, so contractors can mount them on their own posts, into a concrete kerb, or use them as a free-standing gabion wall segment.

Why Spiral Wire Connection Matters

A conventional welded gabion box locks its panels with separate lacing wire that must be cut, threaded and twisted by hand along every edge. The spiral wire system replaces that with one continuous helical coil that runs the full panel edge in a single pass:

• Hinged joints instead of rigid welds — the coil works as a hinge, so a run of panels follows uneven ground and settlement without cracking the mesh.

Technical Specifications

Assembly of the Mesh Body

1. Unfold the flat packed panel and stand the front, back and base panels into a U shape.
2. Run one continuous spiral coil down each vertical corner and fit the internal diaphragms the same way.
3. Set the body on a prepared and levelled base, or tie it to your own post and rail frame through the edge wire.
4. Fill with graded stone in 300 mm layers, then close the lid panel with the same spiral coil.

Packing & Container Loading

Mesh bodies are flat packed in steel-strapped bundles of 20–25 panels with cardboard corner protection, which cuts shipping volume by around 60% compared with pre-assembled boxes. A 40HQ container loads approximately 450–500 panels of 2 x 1 m, or 5,000–6,000 m2 of mesh, and coils are packed inside the same bundles so nothing is shipped loose.

Delivery, Quality & Warranty

7–10 working days for one 40HQ container, 15–20 days for 3–5 containers, with 20,000 panels per month capacity for project supply. Every batch is checked for mesh aperture, wire diameter and zinc coating weight, and third party inspection (SGS, BV) can be arranged before shipment. 10-year warranty against perforation from corrosion under normal C3 exposure, with free replacement of any defective panel.
