Our Galvanized Gabion Box (also known as a wire mesh basket) is a premium, heavy-duty engineered solution designed for erosion control, soil stabilization, and landscape architecture. Manufactured from high-tensile, hot-dipped galvanized steel wire, these modular baskets are filled with stone or rock on-site to form flexible, permeable, and monolithic structures such as gabion retaining walls, sea defense, and channel linings.
Whether for large-scale civil engineering projects or aesthetic architectural landscaping, our gabion baskets offer an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and permanent solution.

Our gabion boxes are treated with a heavy hot-dipped zinc coating or Galfan alloy, ensuring exceptional resistance to atmospheric corrosion, acid, and alkaline environments. Designed to last for decades even in harsh coastal or marine conditions.
The double-twisted hexagonal wire mesh structure provides inherent flexibility. Unlike rigid concrete retaining walls, gabion baskets can withstand differential settlement and soil movement without structural failure or cracking.
Rock-filled gabion structures are naturally porous. They allow water to drain freely through the stones, eliminating the hydrostatic pressure build-up that often causes traditional concrete walls to collapse.
Low Maintenance: Requires virtually no upkeep once installed.
Easy Assembly: Shipped flat-packed (folded) to save freight costs. Easy to unfold, lace, and fill on-site without highly skilled labor.
Green Integration: Over time, silt deposits in the rock gaps, promoting natural plant growth and blending seamlessly into the environment.
Our heavy-duty wire mesh baskets are widely utilized across various industrial, civil, and residential projects:
Gabion Retaining Wall Construction: Stabilizing slopes, highway embankments, and railway cuttings.
Erosion Control & River Bank Protection: Preventing soil erosion along riverbanks, channels, and shorelines.
Bridge Protection & Culvert Wing Walls: Reinforcing areas prone to high-velocity water flow.
Architectural Landscaping: Creating modern garden features, outdoor benches, cladding walls, and acoustic barriers.
Foundation Preparation: Level and compact the ground surface where the gabion baskets will sit.
Assemble the Basket: Unfold the flat-packed gabion box on flat ground and straighten any kinks. Erect the sides, ends, and diaphragms.
Lacing/Wiring: Securely fasten the edges with binding wire or C-rings (hog rings) at regular intervals.
Rock Filling: Fill the basket with durable, weather-resistant stones (typically 100mm to 250mm in size). Fill in thirds and install internal connecting wires (braces) to prevent bulging.
Lid Closing: Fold the lid down, pull it tight across the rock filling, and lace it securely along all edges.
Q: Can I get custom sizes for my retaining wall project?
A: Yes! We are a direct manufacturer. We can customize wire gauges, mesh openings, and overall box dimensions to meet your specific engineering requirements.
Q: How are gabion baskets shipped?
A: They are folded flat and packed in bundles or pallets for optimized shipping volume and reduced ocean freight costs.
